This project is based heavily on scd31's original design, which can be found here. I am very appreciative of them for working on the original project and making it available!

Introduction

This project is a guide for building a galvanic electrolysis device for hair removal. It has been optimised to be significantly cheaper to get assembled with JLCPCB. Some additional soldering is required, but these are mostly through hole components that I sincerely believe anyone with two working hands and a soldering iron can do. If you've never soldered before, you can always do a little practice on some old dead electronics you may have lying around.

DIY electrolysis carries risk of permanent scarring if done improperly. If something goes wrong, only you are responsible.

At the time of writing, the per-unit cost is about £23. This includes all components and materials needed for assembly as well as what it cost for shipping and tax for me.

Try to leverage economies of scale if you can! Talk to your friends and others in your area to see if people want to group buy. Community does not exist without you reaching out to others and making it happen. It is more important than ever to support one another in queer communities, so use this as an opportunity to do so!
